The Overwhelm Of Planning A Disney Holiday

Back in February we decided to start planning a trip to Disneyland Paris for August 2021. Looking back, had we known about COVID-19 and what was going to happen, I probably would have put off booking. However, we can’t go back now but I wanted to write about our experience. At the time I thought it would be easy to pick when we wanted to go and where we wanted to stay. I should have known better really. It wasn’t that easy at all! To start with, there are so many options for hotels. The official Disney hotels are close

A Short Break To Haven Seashore

Last month, before all the government advised against any travel that wasn’t essential, myself, Mum and Erin went to Haven Seashore in Great Yarmouth. We’d had the break booked for months having got a really good deal for a Monday to Friday stay for only about £70. With Erin starting school in September I knew that this would be my last opportunity to go away for my birthday unless it fell on a weekend. I couldn’t pass that up. Unfortunately, John had to work so he wasn’t able to join us. Arrival Day We visited Haven Seashore in 2019 so

Crazy Science At Center Parcs

Over the years we have been to Center Parcs a couple of times but Erin was always really too young for a lot of the activities. This year though during our visit in March she was 4 so able to do a lot more. While we were there my Mum booked Erin in for the Crazy Science session on the Thursday morning. The session lasts for 1 hour and you should be there 10 minutes before the start time. Crazy Science is in the activity den so it’s really easy to find. As we arrived at the activity den ready

Free Things To Do With Children At Haven Seashore

Where ever we go on holiday I like to make sure we do a range of activities with Erin. We also like to save money where we can to keep costs down. Visiting a holiday park like Haven means that there is already quite a lot included in the price of your stay and it would be silly not to make the most of them. We did quite a lot during our stay at Haven Seashore recently so I wanted to write a bit about the things we did that were completely free. Swimming pool One of the things we

Our 4 Night Break At Haven Seashore

Last year when my Mum asked me what I wanted for Christmas I sort of jokingly said a holiday. While I was partially joking, I did ask for the deposit money for a Haven holiday. We got a great deal on a 4 night break in a 2 bedroom prestige caravan for around £180. This was obviously during term time as a miracle would have to happen to get a price like that in the school holidays. Mum kindly ended up paying for the whole holiday in the end but we did make it so she came with us too

Staying In A Woodland Lodge at Kelling Heath Holiday Park

AD | Press trip On our recent stay at Kelling Heath Holiday Park in North Norfolk we stayed in one of their two bedroom woodland lodges. Kelling Heath do offer other accommodation options such as camping and luxury holiday homes. We instantly liked the look of the lodges though due to us having stayed in something similar elsewhere before. As Erin still has naps while we’re away we wanted somewhere we could spread out and enjoy while we weren’t out exploring. Living area and kitchen Erin likes to spread out when we’re away, especially when we bring toys and things

Our Woodland Adventure At Kelling Heath Holiday Park

AD | Press trip This year we are making the effort to make the most of our local area. We recently stayed at Kelling Heath Holiday Park in North Norfolk for four nights in a woodland lodge. I was desperate for some time away from home to relax and also to spend some quality time with John and Erin. Sometimes it’s so easy to pick a city destination but we all needed some time together that wasn’t as busy and rushed. Our stay was from Monday to Friday and as soon as we arrived we felt at peace. Why We’ll Always Find The Money For A Holiday

Growing up we weren’t a family with lots of money and we didn’t have flash holidays and fancy clothes. My sister and I went on camping holidays and to Butlins with our Auntie and Uncle and those holidays will be something I always remember. Watching Jurassic Park in the Kinema in the Woods (Woodhall Spa) is one of those things I can look back on now and think wow, what an amazing time we had. Being a child, it was never about where we went or how much the holiday cost but how much fun we had while we were
