AD | For something different this festive season why not go to the theatre?

Northern Ballet's A Christmas Carol is at Norwich Theatre this week (and touring until January).

With fantastic costumes, a festive soundtrack and the story of Ebenezer Scrooge's change from miserable old man to someone completely different, there's something for everyone here.

This is a great ballet for people to start with, especially kids, as it's a story that's easy to follow. I think die-hard fans will love it too though!

AD | Christmas is in full swing in Cromer, as the Cromer Pier Show kicked off this weekend.

A great show for the whole family, you can expect a wonderful production full of Christmas songs, sparkly costumes and a variety of entertainment. With a magician, violinist and Norfolk comedian Olly Day, there's really something for everyone.

You can watch a show every day apart from Mondays and Christmas Day all the way up to 29th December.

We're so lucky to have this in North Norfolk, and there aren't any other piers with shows like this. What a start to the festive season.

We loved visiting the Christmas lights at @blicklingnt for the first time last year. It was so magical seeing the estate all lit up!

From grilled chicken to wraps to chicken tenders, the menu has so many great choices. You can customise the grilled chicken to suit taste and level of heat but there are plainer options too.

Want to share different dishes? The Gourmet Tater Bites are so moreish and you can't beat the halloumi wedges. Add some dips and you won't be disappointed.

Kids will love either a chicken tender burger or strips! They'll get a side and a Fruit Shoot as well.

If you're not too full, don't miss the incredible chouxnut, as well as other desserts on offer.

For £6.85 per person, this ticketed event is a much more relaxed evening. Open from 5-8, there's loads going on.

Included in the price is abseiling and wall climbing (depending on age) and grass sledging. Extras to pay for include toasting marshmallows, games, crafts and food.

While Erin feasted on a hot dog, I had chocolate pudding and custard! Prices are reasonable too, with burgers and hot dogs only £4 each and pudding costing £2.50.

For the last hour we enjoyed a bonfire, light show and amazing fireworks. We managed to grab a bench before it all started so had a really comfortable seat and snuggled together to keep warm.

With tickets being limited, this is a great event for smaller kids who might not like the bigger crowds.

AD | Museums with kids can be tricky but the Time and Tide Museum in Great Yarmouth is one of our favourites. It's only a 10 minute walk from the seafront and there's plenty of paid parking nearby!

From Great Yarmouth's fishing history to how it became a popular seaside resort to retro games, there's really something for everyone here. This is a really well-laid out museum, meaning you go from one section to another seamlessly, with a clear route wherever you go.

Families will love the amount of interactive areas, perfect for keeping everyone happy and occupied. A few of our favourites are magnet fishing, playing Pac Man, driving a boat and sketching pictures of fish. We go back to these areas each time we visit!

While some exhibitions are permanent, others change so there's always a reason to go back.

If you're looking for a beautiful walk then you can't go wrong at @felbrigghallnt.

Whether you pick a walk around the grounds, the Walled Garden or explore the parkland, this is a beautiful time of year to visit.

There's golden leaves on the ground, a variety of fungi to discover and so many different kinds of animals around.

From a traditional breakfast to brioche French toast to paninis and toasties, there's loads to choose from.

I tried French toast for the first time and I've definitely got a new favourite. I already want to go back for more. Erin stole some of mine, which is proof of just how good it is!

The breakfast is a great way to set yourself up for the day, or you could enjoy a cheese and brie panini like Erin did.

With sweet treats like mud cake, biscoff duffins and s'more muffins, this is the perfect place to stop for a break in Norwich.
