What We’ve Been Watching is a monthly feature where we talk about everything we’ve been watching over the past month. It might be something on Netflix, Sky or even just a DVD we’ve had for years but wanted to watch again. If we’ve been watching something new we’ll talk about that too!
*May contain spoilers so read with caution
After a really busy month of watching A LOT in February, this month was a bit more chilled out with regards to what we watched.
American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace
Much like the OJ Simpson series of American Crime Story, I didn’t really know too much about this before I started watching it. Of course, I knew who Gianni Versace was but nothing more. I certainly had no idea who Andrew Cunanan was. This series is so different from the OJ Simpson trial and it’s really interesting. However, be warned, it’s pretty gory with a lot of violence which is sort of what executive producer Ryan Murphy is known for with American Horror Story.
I know, I know. Why has it taken me so long?!
We were a bit stuck for things to watch at the beginning of the month so my sister bought the first series on Amazon and I was hooked straight away. We’re now well into series 2 so I have no doubt we’ll be needing the next DVD soon.
I’m actually quite surprised with myself so far because I haven’t cried nearly as much as I thought I would have by this point. Everyone tells me how emotional this show is so I think I’m quite well prepared. I know I won’t always be able to hold it in though!
Ru Paul’s Drag Race All Stars 3
Yes, another month of watching Drag Race. Next month won’t be any different either with the new series starting on Netflix this month. Anyway, All Stars 3 has finished now and well, the last few episodes were not what I was expecting. Firstly, BenDeLaCreme called it quits and gave up a few episodes before the finale. She definitely would have won had that not have happened.
I thought for sure Shangela would be taking the crown but the top 2 was not who I was expecting. Okay, one of them was. I was really glad that Kennedy didn’t win mainly because I didn’t think she deserved it really so I was glad Trixie won instead.
I’d love to know what you’ve been watching this month. Let me know in the comments.
