Over the past few years we, as a family, have really gotten into caravan holidays. I’ll be honest, I was a bit of a snob before we had Erin, and they really weren’t the kind of holidays I liked the sound of. Things change though and in 2018 we went on our very first caravan holiday as a family, and I have to admit I was really quite impressed. We have been on more caravan holidays since.
There are lots of different kinds of caravans and motorhomes to choose from though, from static in holiday parks to touring caravans, and it can all be a bit much to take in. So, with that in mind, I want to share some reasons why Bailey of Bristol 4 berth caravans are great for a family holiday.
Size
Bailey of Bristol offers a range of 2, 4, 5 and 6 berth caravans, but as a family of 3 (4 if you count Grandma living with us) we think that the 4 berth would be the right size for us. These caravans have a main bedroom, living area that can be altered into another bedroom at night and a kitchen including hob, oven, sink and microwave, plus a washroom with toilet, sink and shower.
The 4 berth caravan would give us enough space to spend time comfortably during the day if we wanted to and separate sleeping areas at night. A caravan designed for 4 people means that we can go away comfortably as a family of three but have the extra space if Grandma wants to join us.
Design
I love my home comforts and sometimes when we go away I get annoyed at outdated fixtures and fittings or technology. Bailey of Bristol 4 berth caravans have features such as a heating system and combined water heating controlled by a touch panel as well as wall mounted storage pouches and USB charging ports. I know that I would have everything I needed in this caravan and wouldn’t have to worry about not being able to charge my phone in any area.
Freedom
Although a static caravan holiday is fun, sometimes I dislike staying in one place for too long or not having the option to explore somewhere new. I love the idea of staying in a new place every couple of days or going on an epic road trip.
