We’re a bit of a chocolate loving family in this house. John would class himself as a bit of an addict while I have to be in the mood for the sweet stuff, but can eat plenty when I want. Erin being nearly 2 also gets a treat of some chocolate now and again and is super happy about it when it happens. Erin is also getting to an age now where we can start baking together and doing a bit more in the kitchen. Guittard have kitted us out with a great range of their products to start baking with.
Guittard have such a fantastic range of products and there really is something for everyone. They are an American company who have been making chocolate for 5 generations so you know what you’re getting is fantastic quality and the best possible products they make.
I have to be honest, and admit that I am a very basic baker. I haven’t really done much before so me and Erin will be learning together for the most part. I tend to stick to what I know, which isn’t much, so the range from Guittard is a great way to branch out and try some new products.
Guittard have a pretty amazing range of baking chips. These are so much easier to use than some bars of chocolate because you can use them as they are, or melt them down if you want to. Melting the chips down is a lot easier than melting down big blocks of chocolate so there is less chance of burning it (which I have done plenty of times)! Along with classics like milk and dark chocolate, there are also flavours like mint and butterscotch.
Along with baking chips, Guittard have cocoa powder, baking wafers and baking bars. I can’t wait to see what we can create with this fantastic bundle.
