Helping In The Garden With The Casdon Flymo

Helping In The Garden With The Casdon Flymo

It was only a couple of months ago now that Erin really got to watch John mowing the lawn in our back garden for the first time. I think we’ve either kept her inside before now or done it while she was having a nap. Erin was absolutely fascinated though and she really wanted to help. Of course, it was a bit dangerous for her so I knew she would love the Casdon Flymo that we were sent recently.

The Casdon Flymo comes in three really easy to put together parts, the main mower part and two pieces for the handle. The handle pieces click in to each other and then to the base and then the Casdon Flymo is ready to be played with. I hate anything that takes ages to put together, especially if Erin is sat there waiting to play with it so this was a real positive for me.

When the Casdon Flymo is being pushed it has wheels underneath to make it move easier across the grass. Even on our longish grass pushing this felt quite smooth and it didn’t get stuck like I thought it might do. It also makes a clicking noise to make it seem like it’s working like a real lawnmower.

I really love that the Casdon Flymo is a great replica of the real thing. We have a Flymo ourselves and Erin loved that hers looked just like the one that Daddy uses when he cuts the grass. The only thing she has said it needed was the wire like the big one but obviously this one cannot be plugged in!

The Casdon Flymo is suitable for children aged 3+ and it’s just the right size for Erin. The whole thing stands at 50cm so it’s around half the height of Erin at the moment. I think the size for her has really helped her to be able to push it so easily around a very uneven garden with lumps and bumps everywhere.

Erin loves anything she can move around the garden herself and the Casdon Flymo is lovely and light so she can take it wherever she wants. The handle also folds down flat which makes storing the mower really easy. We are able to keep ours underneath our playhouse or in one of our garden storage boxes without having to take it all apart each time.

The Casdon Flymo is a great toy for any child who loves pretend play. This is a great addition to our garden toys and something I know Erin is going to get a lot of use out of.
