A Mud Kitchen Makeover For Under £20

For Erin’s 4th birthday we bought her a mud kitchen. She’s getting to an age now where she’s got everything that we could think of as a ‘big’ present but we wanted to get something that she would get a lot of use out of. Of course, the beginning of the year meant that the mud kitchen didn’t get played with all that much, thanks to the bad weather. But, it’s an idea toy for the garden and we wanted to make sure we made the most of it. There was really nothing wrong with

Creating A Fun Outdoor Play Area At Home

AD | Includes gifted item As a non-driving family we’re not always able to make a quick decision to go for a day out in the woods, the beach or to an amazing National Trust property. A lot of great places are only accessibly by car which sadly rules them out for us. However, we love being outdoors and Erin loves nothing more to play outside. It’s so important for children to learn about things such as nature, to get some fresh air and to exercise outside so we have done our best to create

Erin’s First Mud Kitchen

We’re very lucky to have big back garden, even if it’s not the nicest of spaces. However, we have a big patch of lawn and we have a decent sized patio area so there is plenty of room for Erin to play. Something that I’ve wanted to get her for quite a long time is a mud kitchen. She had one at her first nursery and LOVED playing with it. I knew if we had one it would be something Erin got a lot out of and this was what we got her for her

Helping In The Garden With The Casdon Flymo

AD | Gifted  It was only a couple of months ago now that Erin really got to watch John mowing the lawn in our back garden for the first time. I think we’ve either kept her inside before now or done it while she was having a nap. Erin was absolutely fascinated though and she really wanted to help. Of course, it was a bit dangerous for her so I knew she would love the Casdon Flymo that we were sent recently. The Casdon Flymo comes in three really easy to put together parts, the

Exploring Nature With The GeoSafari Jr. Critter Habitat

AD | Gifted item As a child I don’t remember being very outdoorsy. I know that I definitely didn’t like any kind of creature or bug and I probably would have run a mile before actually picking one up or touching it. I know that’s really not a good way to be though and from a very young age we have encouraged Erin to embrace all there is about the outdoors. To help Erin get even more involved and interested in the great outdoors we were recently sent the GeoSafari Jr. Critter Habitat from Learning Resources.

Mud & Bloom Subscription Box Review

AD | Gifted item We are very lucky to have a large back garden and when the weather is nice, we are out there as much as possible. With the help of the nursery she goes to, Erin is becoming really interested in nature. She loves to look for bugs and the garden and we’re always talking about what flowers and plants we can see when we’re out and about. I have to be honest and say that I’m really not very good at outdoor activities and I sometimes struggle with thinking of things to

Garden Fun With The Natural Tree House and Tunnel

AD | Gifted item We are always looking for new ways to get outdoors and playing in the garden is usually our go to choice. However, finding outdoor toys for Erin isn’t the easiest task especially if we don’t want to spend hundreds of pounds. Leaf Education recently got in touch to see if we wanted to try out their Natural Tree House and Tunnel though and I knew it would be something that Erin would enjoy playing with. When the product arrived I couldn’t get it out of the box quick enough. The tree house

Little Tikes Fountain Factory Water Table Review

AD | Gifted item A few weeks ago John accidentally broke the lid on Erin’s water table. It was something we bought over 2 years ago and it lasted well. However, the water table was really basic as it only had 2 compartments with various pots to play with. It wasn’t very interesting and there wasn’t much that you could do with it. As Erin loves to play outside we knew that we needed to replace the water table. Little Tikes kindly came to our rescue and sent us the Fountain Factory Water Table for
