We bought our house 4 years ago now and sometimes it still doesn’t quite feel like home. We haven’t done much work to some of the rooms and the one that feels the least homely is the living room where we actually spend most of our time. We have a 25ft combined living room/ dining room and the amount of white wall space has just been horrible to look at for all of this time. I recently discovered Desenio and very quickly fell in love the range of artwork they sell.
While I was browsing the Desenio website I was amazed at how much choice there was; not only the artwork but also the frames! Desenio offer prints and frames in a whole range of sizes and there is something to suit all budgets. A room makeover doesn’t have to cost a fortune and you can really change it up quickly and easily.
After a very long time looking through what seemed like every single print I finally decided on three large prints for the living room and three super cute prints for Erin’s bedroom. Ordering was really easy and delivery only took a couple of days. When my order arrived it was all really well packed so the frames were safe and the prints were rolled up inside a tube all together. I really liked how the packaging was minimal but still did what it needed to in order to keep my products in perfect condition.
As we haven’t chosen a proper colour scheme in the living room yet I chose black and white prints along with black frames. I already had the perfect space for them in mind so I chose 50x70cm frames so that they would fill up a lot of space on a large wall. The prints I chose were Dandilion, Dandilion No.1 and Dandilion No.2. Desenio make it really easy to choose pictures that go well together, even if they’re not exactly the same! I was really impressed with their gallery wall ideas and how easy it is to order everything in one suggestion.
The frames can be hung either portrait or landscape and it only took 15 minutes or so to put them up on the wall. Each frame is hung on a screw and are really secure. I was a bit worried about having frames so big on the wall but they really are nice and safe and they have made our living room a much nicer place to spend time in.
I had been looking for something extra for Erin’s bedroom for a little while and nothing had stood out. As soon as I saw the Polygon range from Desenio I knew they were perfect for a woodland themed bedroom. I went for the Polygon Deer, Fox and Bear in 13x18cm prints with white frames of the same size. The colours of these prints are quite neutral and subtle so they matched the colours in Erin’s room really well.
The smaller sized frames can also stand up if you don’t want them to hang on the wall. I purposely chose these prints in a smaller size so that they could stand on Erin’s storage unit or be moved around the room easily if I fancy a change. The Polygon prints really add something special to Erin’s room and I think they look great where they are.
I’m already thinking about what I can do next and which room could benefit from some amazing pictures. I think the hallway would look great with a feature wall and Desenio will be the first place I look. It is such a great company. I have those dandelion ones, I love them. The ones in Erin’s room are gorgeous x
Oooh. I could do with making my walls less bare.. though my fiancé and I rarely agree on prints and things. I will have to keep this in mind to look at with him.
