On 1st September at 11am, the Hogwarts Express will be leaving platform 9 ¾ at Kings Cross Station, to make it’s journey to Hogsmeade Station. If you have a little witch or wizard heading back to Hogwarts this week, you might be wondering if you have everything they might need.
With the Harry Potter franchise being so big now, and as popular as it is, you can expect to find a lot of merchandise. For the back to school season there are some really fun items available and we were lucky enough to be sent a really wonderful selection of Harry Potter products to help get Erin all set up!
Every little wizard needs somewhere to keep their spell books and potions. Depending on which house your child has been sorted into, they will need the appropriate bag. The colours on these bags are really bright and fun and there is loads of space for everything your child might need! We are all eyeing up a bag for each of us in the different house colours.
If your child prefers a packed lunch to a hot meal during their school day then a bag to protect their lunch is a must. I love the Zak Harry Potter Lunch Bag. It has loads of space for a decent lunch and the images of Harry, Ron and Hermione on the front are just so cute. It’s such a fun lunch bag!
Of course, if you have the Harry Potter lunch bag then you must have the Zak Harry Potter Bottle to match. The bottle is covered in cool Harry Potter characters and it has a handle too so it can be carried around easily. It’s a lovely item to go with the lunch bag and your child can feel really set up with these.
Any student at Hogwarts needs to practice their spells and study hard. The Harry Potter Stationery Set includes pen, pencil, ruler, pencil sharpener and rubber, making sure your child is really prepared! The stationery set comes in a handy storage packet too so you don’t have to worry about digging around in a bag for something that’s hiding somewhere.
You can’t go back to Hogwarts without a wand. We have the Hermione Granger 7″ Lumos Light Painting Wand*, which has a light up LED tip and can be used with an app to create amazing light pictures that you can then capture on your phone. Erin seems to have mastered turning people into frogs but nothing else yet!
Of course, the Wizarding World also has loads of fun Harry Potter related items and toys that can be just for fun. Erin might only be 4 but she’s already a bit LEGO obsessed and there are so many amazing sets available. Who wouldn’t want the LEGO Harry Potter Hedwig the Owl Figure* or the LEGO Harry Potter Knight Bus*? We can’t wait to spend some time building these together… maybe while we have the films on in the background.
One of Erin’s favourites is the Harry Potter doll*, who comes dressed in the Hogwarts uniform, a Gryffindor robe and a wand! Harry’s arms and legs move so you can pose him in loads of different ways, maybe setting up and creating scenes if you have some of the other characters available. I think we’ll be getting Erin a few more soon, maybe Dumbledore, Hermione and Ron.
Are you a Harry Potter fan? Which of these would your children like, or maybe something for yourself?
