A couple of weeks ago I showed you all the amazing new Beko washing machine we received (read the review) and even gave one lucky ready the chance to win one for themselves (enter here: ends 14/12). I very quickly fell in love with the features I had figured out how to use and I kept looking at my wonderfully shiny new machine like it was jewellery. Some appliances though lose their shine after a few weeks and you realise that maybe they’re not as good as what you first thought. That was not the case at all though with this one and actually, it just keeps getting better and better.
Something I always used to forget to do with my last washing machine (every washing machine I’ve ever owned) was to turn it off. It wouldn’t matter how many time I went in the kitchen or how many times I tried to remember, it never got turned off. I know how bad this is! I didn’t actually notice this for about a week but our Beko washing machine turns itself off after a cycle. I honestly can’t tell you how long it takes for this to happen but I know that it does it. I was AMAZED!
I know something like this doesn’t sound like a big deal but it really is the small things that matter. I never have to go into the kitchen with the plan to turn the washing machine off only to forget about it again! This also saves on electricity and energy usage which saves some pennies as well!
You know with some washing machines there just isn’t that setting that you really need? That’s not really a problem with this one. There are plenty of pre-programmed settings which will all be really popular. However, some of these can be altered too to make them more suitable for your needs. I like to use the synthetics setting but I don’t like washing on 40 degrees so I drop this down to 30 degrees. I also find that I don’t need the wash to last over 2 hours and this can be shortened to about 1 hour 20 minutes which is much better for energy usage!
Of course, there is also the 28 minute Daily Quick and the 14 minute Super Short cycles. These are so good for things like towels, something that might have gotten food/ drink on and needs washing quickly or just things that don’t get too dirty! Everything I have washed on the 28 minute cycle have come out smelling great and being just as clean as if I used a different setting.
Just before we got this machine Erin had figured out how to open the door on our old washing machine. Obviously she couldn’t get in it while it was in use but I always worried about her getting her fingers trapped, getting in it or something else that could hurt her. There’s no way Erin will be getting into this washing machine for a very long time. The door is quite heavy and has a button which needs to be pushed to open the door. Erin hasn’t figured out where this is and even if she did, she doesn’t have the strength for the door, which I am so thankful for!
Don’t forget to enter the giveaway to win one of these amazing machines for yourself. There’s no going back for me now!

You are right, it is the small things that matter but for you, not turning your machine off doesn’t sound so small! Great that the Beko does it without you needing to worry! Love the washing machine, so stylish and what a wonderful thing to win?!
It is great when appliances help you out even with the small things. Mine turns off as well at some point and I think its great. if only the dishwasher did the same 😀
The idea of a 28 minute cycle blows my mind and would be SO helpful! Our washing machine takes almost two hours to do a white wash, which is really a bit too long for a busy family like ours. x
Our old one took forever as well and it was horrible.
It’s looks really smart too which is a bonus! I definitely need the switching off function, can’t remember the last time I did that.
It does look lovely doesn’t it?
The 28 minute cycle sounds great. I’d love one that automatically turns itself off.
What a great way to save energy by having a washing machine that turns itself off after its cycle. And it is so sleek as well x
I love that it turns itself off!
I have a 7kg white beko washing machine, it isn’t as fancy as this one but has lasted years, with 5 of us it’s constantly on, they are fantastic machines, although mine needs replacing as it doesn’t smell very good anymore ? but we have just moved home so it will be out on the things to do list and replaced eventually xxx
Make sure to enter the giveaway!
Amazing that it’s so versatile and they you can adjust the settings to suit your needs – that is a major win!
It really makes life a lot easier for us.
28 minute cycle :O wow thats amazing and handy!
It makes such a difference for us.
Not only does it look like a lovely model it sounds fab too! I really need to get a new washing machine as ours is on the brink, this would be a great addition to our home.
Sounds like a great machine! We just have what came with our flat, but one of it’s best points is that it has a child lock – very important when you have a 3 year old who likes to play with the buttons try and open it all the time!
I am in dire need of a new washing machine, but will be waiting for the January sales. I will certainly be keeping my eyes peeled for this one.
