What We’ve Been Watching: December 2018

What We’ve Been Watching is a monthly feature where we talk about everything we’ve been watching over the past month. It might be something on Netflix, NOW TV, Sky or even just a DVD we’ve had for years but wanted to watch again. If we’ve been watching something new we’ll talk about that too!

NOW TV

I’m going to do a bit of a cheat here. On Black Friday I treat us to 6 months of NOW TV movies as it was on offer for only £4.50 per month. John and I love watching movies and feel like we have barely watched anything even remotely new recently and we didn’t want to pay to add movies to our Sky package. When I saw that we could get 6 months for only £27 I had to do it. So, we have been watching quite a lot of movies and I can’t really talk about all of them individually. So, I’m going to make a list and some that we’ve watched this month:

Baby Driver

Mother

Wonder Woman

Mean Girls

Justice League

Instinct

I tend to see shows that I like the look of pop up on Sky and I set them to record but it takes me ages to actually get around to watching them. Instinct was one of those but I was excited to watch it because Alan Cumming was the star. Instinct in a crime/ detective kind of show but it’s not all serious and grim like some others and I liked that there was quite a lot of humour in it. The series was short with only 13 episodes but I’ll be watching series 2 for sure.

I’m A Celeb

Reality TV is my biggest guilty pleasure. I have enjoyed I’m A Celeb so much this year and I don’t think I was really expecting to. I was a bit unsure about the line up but I have to say, Harry Redknapp has been my surprise of the series. I didn’t think I would like him at all but I think he helped to make the series along with Emily, Fleur and John. It’s no wonder they ended up as the final 4 really!

Strangely, I didn’t actually watch many Christmas films this year. I think it’s probably because I wanted to watch so many of the newer films on NOW TV instead! What have you been watching?
