Seaside afternoon tea at The Assembly House, Norwich

On of my absolutely favourite places to go in Norwich is The Assembly House. I fell in love from my very first afternoon tea there and have been back so many times since then and even had an overnight stay last year. The great thing about The Assembly House is that they change the afternoon tea fairly often and they’re usually themed as well. During May half term we took Erin as a treat to enjoy a seaside themed afternoon tea.

Celebrating Our 7th Wedding Anniversary At The Assembly House

Yesterday was mine and John’s 7 year wedding anniversary. It’s been nice to look through our wedding album and remember what a fantastic day we had. For the past few years we had been going to Center Parcs during this week but now that Erin is in reception we are no longer able to go on term time breaks. One of my favourite places in Norwich is The Assembly House, somewhere I have been for afternoon tea quite a few times now. They have had an offer on recently that included a stay in any

Festive Afternoon Tea At The Assembly House, Norwich

Once a month I go for lunch with a friend and we generally pick somewhere I have never been before. For our meal in December we wanted something really festive but no restaurant menu really stood out to us. My friend had been to The Assembly House before and suggested it as an option as they had a festive afternoon tea menu. At £22.95 (or £45 for two) it wasn’t a cheap option but we both wanted something special for a pre-Christmas treat. The Assembly House is an absolutely stunning Georgian venue in the centre

Afternoon Tea And Pamper Treat For Two With Red Letter Days

Being someone who is self-employed and works from home means having very little ‘me’ time. Don’t get me wrong, I have days where Erin is at nursery and John is at work so I have the house to myself but then I have work and cleaning to do. I have my nails done for special occasions only like going on holiday and I think I’ve had my hair done 2-3 times since Erin was born nearly 3 years ago. So, when Red Letter Days got in touch to see if I would like to test

Afternoon Tea At Patisserie Valerie

Although I have had cakes from Patisserie Valerie before, it’s not somewhere I ever thought to go for Afternoon Tea. I’m not sure why! My sister came for a visit last week though and had purchased a Groupon voucher for Afternoon Tea at Patisserie Valerie in Norwich! Normally, this would have cost £25 but the voucher was £19, making a saving of £6. It’s not loads but at least it works out at less than £10 each. When we arrived we didn’t have to wait to be seated and instead just sorted ourselves out a table and

Family Friendly Norfolk: Harriet’s Cafe Tearooms

We recently took Erin for her very first afternoon tea at  Harriet’s Cafe Tearooms in Norwich. On 8th July, while my mum was here to stay for the week, my sister came up from London for the day. We all love afternoon tea and had walked by this place the last time we were all together. We’d made the plan in advance to see what this place was like. I called in advance the day before to book a table, letting them know at the time that we would have a pram with us. Our
