A camera shy blogger isn’t something you hear of too often, especially when this is what they do for a living. For the longest time I have been really camera shy. I hate having my picture taken which is probably due to self-confidence issues. The majority of the photos you see on here or on social media are either of Erin on her own or with John or other family members. It’s quite rare for there to be pictures of me. Last month I realised something though. If I want to move forward as a

A New Blogging Tool: The Peg Board
I love to find a new accessory for blogging and back in September at Blog On I fell in love with Box 51’s Peg Board, which comes from Paladone. I have a light board already and I love having options for when I create pictures for blog posts and social media and this little delight is perfect for this! This peg board costs only £11.99 and comes with the board and 2 sets of numbers, letters and some symbols. The peg board generally is super easy to set up as all you need to do is
Blog On: Better The 2nd Time Around?
Back in May I went to my first ever blogging conference and I loved every minute of it. I didn’t think I was going to be able to go to the second Blog On Conference of this year though because at the time tickets were released, I had a job that I couldn’t get time off from. However, things have changed and I now work from home. I was lucky enough to get a ticket to Blog On Xmas while being on the waiting list. I headed off to Manchester on my own this time
Blog Wish List
Last week I wrote about my 5 blog must haves but I thought today, I’d write about my blog wish list. Pipdig theme At the moment I’m using a free WordPress theme for the blog. It’s okay but it isn’t pretty and beautiful and everything else I want this site to be. Pipdig have some really stunning themes which make everything look a lot more professional. I have recently changed themes on WordPress and while my site does look better, it’s still not what I want. I want something I can customise more and
5 Things I Learned at Blog On
Last week I wrote about my experience as a first timer at Blog On and how to survive if you’re thinking of going yourself. However, I didn’t really go into too much detail of what the sessions were about and what I learned. I won’t be talking about everything in this post but I do want to talk about 5 things that I found super helpful. 1. Comments aren’t everything For months I have been trying to get as many comments as possible on my posts. Turns out, it isn’t on the top of PRs
How to survive your first Blog On!
For the past couple of days John, Erin and myself have been in Manchester so I could attend Blog On, my very first blogging conference. I’ve been blogging since 2010 but only in the past year have I been taking it seriously and trying to make a career out of it. I’m not even close to that yet but that’s exactly why I went to Blog On! I wish I’d read a post beforehand about what to expect so I’d been more prepared so here it is; How to Survive Your First Blog On! How
Social Network Solutions Blogger Event
AD: We received items mentioned in this post as gifts. Living in The Middle of Nowhere, Norfolk means not really knowing many local bloggers and especially not other parent bloggers. When Amy from Social Network Solutions (SNS) invited me to a cosy local event I was so excited. I actually nearly didn’t go though because I don’t drive and I had no idea where the event was. I’m glad I put on my big girl pants and figured it out though! The event was held at Dotty Pottery which is in Hellesdon, Norwich. It’s a
