Crazy Science At Center Parcs

Over the years we have been to Center Parcs a couple of times but Erin was always really too young for a lot of the activities. This year though during our visit in March she was 4 so able to do a lot more. While we were there my Mum booked Erin in for the Crazy Science session on the Thursday morning. The session lasts for 1 hour and you should be there 10 minutes before the start time. Crazy Science is in the activity den so it’s really easy to find. As we arrived at the activity den ready

4 Eclectic Essex Excursions

Collaborative post With so much to do in England’s capital city, Essex might not cross your mind as an essential destination near London. But in fact, the southern county is filled with many fun, family-friendly activities, and is home to more must-see locations than you might think.  If you’re looking to plan the perfect getaway for next year, you might say the only way is Essex! Saffron Walden Turf Maze The rural village of Saffron Walden has plenty to offer, including preserved medieval architecture, a traditional market frequented by Jamie Oliver, and even its own independent cinema. But one of

Cupcake Decorating At Center Parcs

On our most recent trip to Center Parcs Erin was finally old enough to be able to do some of the great activities that are on offer. Due to a broken elbow that had just had a cast off we wanted to book something but nothing too boisterous. Cupcake Decorating sounded great, especially as baking was something that Erin had been doing a lot with her Grandma. This activity cost around £12 and lasted for 45 minutes, aimed at children between 3 and 7. Our class only had 2 children participating and was run by Elleigh. Each child gets 4

48 Hours In Cambridge

When Erin was maybe just over a year old we went on a last minute trip to Cambridge. We didn’t have the largest amount of time but we had a great visit and we’d said we would love to go back when Erin was a bit older. Now that Erin is nearly 4 we thought we would be in a better position to explore the city a bit more and to do more while we were there. This time, we managed to book our trip for John’s birthday so it was a great time to go away. Monday We have

Summer At Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure

AD | Gifted tickets Somewhere I have always heard such great things about for a day out in Norfolk is Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure. We first visited with Erin during February half term earlier this year but we had to cut our trip short as my friend’s son wasn’t very well. Erin has been asking to go back ever since but as a non-driving family it’s pretty hard to get to. This year, Roarr! have done something really fantastic and put on a free bus, the DinoBus, from Norwich during the summer holidays. For us as a family, this was a pretty

How My Attitude Towards Holidays Has Changed Since Becoming A Parent

I remember going on my first ever holiday abroad and that was for my 18th birthday. My boyfriend at the time and I headed off to Benidorm for a week and I had the best time. We went out of season as my birthday is in March and I loved the relaxed, quiet feeling and just being able to relax on the beach and do whatever I wanted. That first holiday really made me want to travel more, both abroad and in this country. Since then, I have been able to go on holiday to some fantastic places and John

Free Things To Do With Children At Haven Seashore

Where ever we go on holiday I like to make sure we do a range of activities with Erin. We also like to save money where we can to keep costs down. Visiting a holiday park like Haven means that there is already quite a lot included in the price of your stay and it would be silly not to make the most of them. We did quite a lot during our stay at Haven Seashore recently so I wanted to write a bit about the things we did that were completely free. Swimming pool One of the things we

Our 4 Night Break At Haven Seashore

Last year when my Mum asked me what I wanted for Christmas I sort of jokingly said a holiday. While I was partially joking, I did ask for the deposit money for a Haven holiday. We got a great deal on a 4 night break in a 2 bedroom prestige caravan for around £180. This was obviously during term time as a miracle would have to happen to get a price like that in the school holidays. Mum kindly ended up paying for the whole holiday in the end but we did make it so she came with us too
