When we bought our house I was so excited to finally have a garden. Growing up we had a small front garden that we never used and a back garden that was just a concrete slab. So, when we looked for a house a decent sized garden was a must. I’ll be honest, we didn’t look at the garden as well as we probably should have. For Erin’s 4th birthday we bought her a mud kitchen. She’s getting to an age now where she’s got everything that we could think of as a ‘big’ present but we wanted to get something that she would get a lot of use out of. Of course, the beginning of the year meant that the mud kitchen didn’t get played with all that much, thanks to the bad weather. This year we have been determined to do something a bit different with our garden. After a neighbour kindly gave us their old shed it really got us motivated to give the back area a big makeover. We worked really hard over a couple of weeks and completely transformed the area for Erin. Something we were lacking in the garden, both before and now, was something to help attract wildlife.
