If you have been following me on Twitter lately, you’ll have probably seen me talking about Erin sleeping habits, or lack thereof. She is now known in our house as the girl who doesn’t sleep. Erin had a stomach bug a couple of weeks ago now and it threw off her routine. It is still completely messed up and I have no idea how to fix it. Erin no longer sleeps. John and I no longer sleep. It’s hell and I feel like a zombie. Apparently, according to loads of other mums I know, this is

The dreaded weight clinic
Something I have absolutely hated since being discharged from the midwives care and then no longer getting heath visitor time at home is the dreaded weight clinic. Apparently, just before I had to start going to these clinics at my local Children’s Centre, they were held every week. They were then changed to monthly. My town is pretty big and the first monthly weight clinic was packed! I got there 10 minutes past opening and it took well over an hour to get seen. Since then I have made sure to get there 15 minutes
Erin’s 7 month update
Where the hell has the time gone?! This is Erin’s 7 month update! It doesn’t seem like 2 minutes since her 6 month update. In the last month or so, Erin has changed so much. On the day that Erin turned 6 months old her first tooth popped through. She had been drooling and had teething pains for what seemed like forever. The tooth wasn’t there in the morning on that day but it was in the afternoon. Four days later another tooth popped through! This month Erin has also started to get a lot more mobile.
Big girl bed – aka the cot!
Erin is now 7 months old and she has only just come out of her moses basket. I know that sounds like she should be way too old and should have been out of it ages ago. As Erin was premature and only 4lb 8oz, she has always been small for her age. For the past couple of weeks, she has stopped sleeping through and I had no idea why. I looked at her the other night and realised she didn’t have much space in the moses basket anymore. I figured it was time for
My Mum Bag
A few days ago now I read a post that I loved. One of the bloggers that quite often makes my day, makes me spit out my drinks with laughter and makes me realise that sometimes, other people have more shit days than I do wrote a post called The Mum Bag. I loved reading about what she carried around on such a short trip and it made me want to write about my mum bag. My mum bag is a bit strange to be honest. It started out as a proper changing bag but it
Review: Haberman Cow Cup
Erin is now on three meals a day and is a couple of months into weaning now. Getting her to drink water throughout the day is really important and we have tried quite a few different cups so far. I was so pleased when Haberman got in touch to see if Erin would like to try one of their cow cups. Carry on reading for a review and giveaway! The Haberman Cow Cup is named as such because of the design, which is cow print. The cup is available in black/white, pink/white, blue/white and green/white so
It was all going so well
This whole parenting thing was going so well. Then the past two weeks have been shit. I’ll be honest, being a parent has not been fun and I have struggled. The first crappy week was when my mum was here to stay. Erin cut her first tooth the weekend before that and got another a couple of days later. She was so upset and in pain through it and I found it so hard to comfort her. We tried a few different kinds of teething gels as well as the granules. Nothing really seemed to
July nursery update
I wrote a nursery update last month and it’s already time for another. July’s nursery update is all about the new bits I have bought this month. I have happened to go some great places this month and I have managed to pick up some amazing pieces. First up are a couple of bits from Elsie and Jem Crafts, a local company based in Sheringham. These I found at a school summer fair around the corner from my house. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible so we didn’t stick around long. I ended up buying an amazing hand crafted toadstool doorstop
