Learning Resources Birds In A Nest Sorting Set Review

Now that Erin goes to nursery 3 days a week and is learning so much we want to be able to encourage that at home. While we will still be doing loads of fun, crafty type play, and running around like lunatics, I want to help Erin to learn at home and Learning Resources is the company to help us with that! One of the sets we have been trying out recently is the Birds In A Nest Sorting Set. The Birds In A Nest Sorting Set comes with 36 super brightly coloured pieces. You get six coloured bowls and 30 birds

My First JCB Stacking Stanley Review

Last week we were hit with some pretty intense weather. The Beast From The East hit us quite badly in Norfolk and we found ourselves being stuck at home from Tuesday to Saturday. Even though it was cold I wanted to get Erin outside, at least for a little while. This is the first time Erin has really experienced snow and I hate for her to be cooped up indoors for too long. While the snow is fun on its own, Erin doesn’t really know what to do with it yet so taking some extra toys outside with us was

Erin Turns 2!

So today Erin turns 2. I’m not sure where the past 2 years have gone but it went in the blink of an eye! Erin starts nursery in a couple of days and I’m willing time to slow down a bit because it is going far too fast. Today we are spending Erin’s birthday as a family and having a pretty chilled out day at home. There will be cake, presents and anything else Erin might want to do! With Erin now being 2, I think my updates about her may happen a little less often but for now, here

The Importance Of Handwriting

One thing I remember so clearly about being in primary school was learning to write. I remember those worksheets where you had to trace the letters with your pencil and then copy yourself on the line underneath. I remember doing those over and over again for hours but I like to think that I have quite nice handwriting. I’m the one who writes the birthday and Christmas cards because I’m always telling my husband he has horrible man writing. I don’t actually think that’s a thing but my handwriting is definitely neater. Erin will be starting nursery in January and

Erin’s 23 Month Update!

Well, it’s nearly December and that means Erin is coming up to being 23 months old. Her 2nd birthday is just around the corner and I can’t believe how quick that time has gone. November has flown by and with that, Erin has changed quite a lot! Sleep Since we came back from Center Parcs last month John and I have made a real effort to stick to the same routine when it comes to bed time and nap time. We have really been trying to let Erin get herself off to sleep while drinking her milk instead of us

Erin’s 22 Month Update!

So, it’s 1st November tomorrow and that means Erin is now 22 months old. The last month absolutely flew by and I feel like I blinked and missed a whole lot of it. We had a great holiday in Center Parcs and it was so good to see Erin running around and really having fun the whole time. She loved it there just as much as we did. Here’s what has been going on with Erin over the last month. Sleep I think we have finally got Erin into a really good sleeping routine. Sometimes it has been hard to

Peppa’s Alphaphonics Campervan Review

Erin is now at an age where she is really picking up words quickly and easily so I’m trying to help her as much as I can. Sometimes though, I get a bit stuck on what to teach her and more so, how to teach her. I had had my eye on Peppa’s Alphaphonics Campervan for a little while now and we have been lucky enough to be able to review it.   The alphaphonics board is presented in a really bright and colourful campervan design, with the pig family sat inside. At the top of the board is a

Erin’s 21 Month Update!

21 months old! Where has that time gone? I can’t believe my little girl is going to be 2 in a few very short months. It will be here before I know it and that also means the start of nursery for her. It still amazes me how far this little girls comes every single months. I was sure that by this age, I would notice things less and less and new things would happen less often but that’s just not true. So, here’s how Erin has been getting on over the past month: Movement This month Erin has been
