10 great sustainable practices if you work from home

This has been written by Raakhee Stratton, a UK based eco-blogger and author of Easy Peasy Greeny. Currently studying towards a BSc Environmental Science and passionate about working towards sustainable living by learning and sharing ideas. In the last few years, we have seen a sharp rise in remote working. Some companies, although not all, have adopted and offered more flexible working options for their staff. Working from home offers several benefits like greater flexibility and reducing the time you spend commuting, not to mention the cost of commuting!

Working from home hacks you won’t want to ignore

Working from home has best been described as being very similar to that ultimate fashion piece your season won’t work without. You can pull it off, and it feels amazing. But, that doesn’t mean to say that a lot of hard work doesn’t go into it, much like the effort it takes to stay in shape and feel your best. So with more people deciding to take on the working from home dream, I thought it would be an ideal time to share with you some of the best working from home hacks that you

Feeling Frustrated With Funded Childcare

As a self-employed blogger I find myself on the HMRC website a lot more than I would like to. I have only been self-employed since August 2016 and only full time from July 2017 which isn’t very long at all. It’s safe to say that I don’t know what I’m doing a lot of the time when it comes to self-assessment tax returns, tax and National Insurance contributions, among other things. I think sometimes it’s easy to forget that someone else dealt with all of that when I was employed and it was all just

Getting The Right Balance: Have I Cracked It?

Today is my first day back at work properly since our holiday to Haven last week. I say back at work but what I really mean is that Erin is at nursery today so I’m working from home. I made the decision to go self-employed full time last year and honestly, it was such a struggle to start with. I had Erin at home all day, every day and I was working in the evenings most days, sometimes until gone midnight to get everything done. It was killing me and I was constantly behind or

My Work From Home Routine

Erin has been going to nursery for nearly a month now so it’s given me a few weeks to get used to her not being around for a couple of days a week. From February, she will be going Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:45 to 3:30. While I do still feel a bit lost without her, having spent near enough every single day of the past two years with her, it’s amazing how quickly you get used to it and get into a new routine. This year I joined the gym so on a Wednesday

Epson EcoTank ET-7750 Review

Working from home and having a pretty busy life means needing as many things as possible to keep us organised. Erin has started nursery now and we sometimes get emailed calendar dates and school activities that will be happening soon and I really like to have these things printed out for both me and John. To make our lives a bit easier we were recently sent the Epson EcoTank ET-7750 printer. Now, until recently I didn’t know what an EcoTank was so many other people might not either. Unlike a regular printer, the EcoTank works with

Earn Vouchers With Branded Surveys

For years now I have been signed up to many different survey sites where you can earn vouchers or in some cases, cash or PayPal payments. I don’t keep up with as many as I used to because I just don’t have the time but there are a select few that I still do and one of my favourites is Branded Surveys (formerly MintVine). Joining Branded Surveys is super easy and you can Sign up here! All it takes is filling in some of your personal details and you’re ready to go! Once you have joined you

Finding The Perfect Balance When Working From Home

Working from home and blogging full time is a lot! I had been hoping to be able to do this full time for quite some time now and a couple of months ago I took a risk and quit my part time evening job in a supermarket. I hated it. I hated being away from John and Erin and I hated being restricted in what I could and couldn’t do. I never wanted to go back to work after maternity leave and I always knew deep down it wasn’t for me. Since I started working
