2018 Blog Goals Quarterly Update #2

At the beginning of the year I sat down and made some goals, both for the blog and for family life. Unlike last year, I think I was a bit more realistic in my goals this year and I set out to achieve just a few things. Now that we’re 6 months into the year, it’s time for another update. Youtube I only started my Youtube channel back in November of last year so it’s still quite a new thing for me and I still haven’t got into a nice routine with it. However, I

2018 Blog Goals: Quarterly Update 1

Wow, the first quarter of the year has gone already. I can’t quite believe it’s very nearly April. At the beginning of the year I decided to set myself some goals so I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to do a bit of an update. Youtube I started the Youtube channel back in November ’17 so really, not that long ago. Although I haven’t made quite as many videos as I would have liked I am still pretty happy with how everything is going. With just over 600 subscribers now I feel

So I Joined The Gym…

For as long as I can remember I have been overweight. I remember being 14 or 15 and comfortably fitting in size 14 and size 16 clothes. Back then though I had a lot more confidence in myself than I do now and I never cared what anyone thought of me or how I looked. Now, I’m certainly not shy and I still don’t really give a shit about what people think but I have zero self-confidence. I’m not sure when that went away but it’s slowly diminished over the years and I have never

2018 Family Goals

Last year, as well as making blogging goals I also made some family goals. Unfortunately, I did not do nearly as well with these as I did the blogging goals and that’s a real shame. I kind of forgot about some of them to be completely honest but I’m going to attempt it again for 2018. Family Time I hate to say it but I think this is the one area I failed at the most this year. I wanted to spend at least one day a weekend with John and Erin and that just

2018 Blogging Goals

Last year I made a list of blog goals which I am happy to say, I smashed. 2018 is a completely different year though and things have changed quite a lot since last year. In August I decided to take the leap and go self-employed. Hitting targets and reaching my goals means a lot more to me now and while there are not consequences as such, it does matter if I don’t put the time in to try to achieve new things. Erin is starting nursery next week and will be going 2 days each

2017 Family Goals

Last week I posted about my goals for the blog in 2017. Today I’m talking about my family goals. I think that there is a lot I would like us to achieve this year so this list will be quite varied. Family days out – We didn’t do nearly enough of this in 2016. Funds are always quite tight seeing as I only work part time now so we have to be quite careful. John also works a lot of 6 day weeks so sometimes we only get a Sunday together. Even if it’s a walk

2017 Blog Goals

Last year, one of my biggest goals for the blog was to get a domain and I did that! Me, him, the dog and a baby! is a serious part of my life now and I have lots of things I want to achieve this year. So, here goes: Schedule in advance – this is something I used to do all the time. I don’t know what happened. Maybe it was Erin getting more mobile. Just recently though I have been writing the day before a post is due and never actually ahead. I need
